Miss Brady and Mr. Bedenbaugh marry November 3, 2007

Emily Barrett Brady and Jody Alan Bedenbaugh, both of Columbia, were married November 3, 2007, at Oldfield Plantation in Bluffton, South Carolina. Mary Ellison Baars, a third year Divinity student at Duke University, performed the sunset ceremony overlooking the Okatie River.

Mr. and Mrs. Jody Alan Bedenbaugh Mr. and Mrs. Jody Alan Bedenbaugh The bride, daughter of the Honorable Joan Barrett Brady and Mr. Charles Michael Brady, both of Columbia, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. Barrett of Columbia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Troy Brady of Greensboro, North Carolina. The bride is a graduate of Hammond School and Duke University. She is a public relations specialist with Chernoff Newman in Columbia.

The bridegroom, son of Ms. Mary Jane Bedenbaugh and Mr. Russell Stuart Bedenbaugh, both of Columbia, is the grandson of the late Mr. John Wilkie Minick and Mrs. Lillie Belle Minick of Newberry, South Carolina, and the late Mr. Harold Thomas Bedenbaugh and Mrs. Eula Melissa Bedenbaugh of Prosperity, South Carolina. The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is an associate with Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough, LLP, in Columbia.

Leah Hamilton McKee of Columbia served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Laura Patricia Oliphant and Elizabeth Simms Oliphant, cousins of the bride; Meghan Elizabeth Turner and Frances Clark Diane Belk; and Laura Louise Beach of Winston- Salem, North Carolina.

Russell Stuart Bedenbaugh served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Russell Stuart Bedenbaugh Jr., brother of the bridegroom; Kevin Lawrence Brady and Dillon Edward Brady, brothers of the bride; Leslie Lake Jordan of Valdosta, Georgia, and John Calvin Griggs III of Columbia.

Dinner and dancing followed at the River Club.

The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Outfitters Center at Oldfield Plantation on Friday evening.

After a wedding trip to St. Barths in the French West Indies, the couple will reside in Columbia.
