The luncheon was one of the high social events of the Lake Murray Region in celebration of the culmination of Caroline and Jerry's stay at their summer vacation home in South Carolina before returning to their winter home in Key West, Florida.
Because Jerry is a 39er from Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, the Cashes took this opportunity to invite old classmates to their home to renew old friendships and enjoy the cuisine of South Florida.
The host prepared Cuban- style roast barbecue pork flavored with mojo sauce. The pork is slow roasted overnight in mojo sauce and served with additional sauce.
Guests brought their favorite dishes to compliment the main course. The meal was served buffet style from the main dinning room. After serving their plates the guests assembled in the Ballroom to enjoy their meal in the cool fall breezes off the lake. The meal was rounded out with a dessert of Lowcountry plain cake served to each guest at the table.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and wished Caroline and Jerry a safe return to Key West.
