Midlands Clay Arts Society holds Annual Christmas Show and Sale
Tim Graham a long time member of Midlands Clay Arts Society founded his pottery label Tag Pottery in 1996. He has been an art teacher, given workshops, shown in exhibits, galleries and numerous juried craft shows such as Piccolo Spolleto. Currently, he is a ceramic artist living in Camden, SC, and the assistant studio manger for the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation clay studio. Midlands Clay Arts Society will have it eighth Annual Christmas Show and Sale Nov. 30 and December 1, 2007 at the Gallery 80808, 808 Lady Street. The show will be open on November 30, noon until 9 pm with a reception 6- 9 pm and December 1, 10 am - 5 pm.
The Midlands Clay Arts Society was organized in 1987. Its members include local potters, crafts people, and clay artists who promote the appreciation of working in clay. This a unique opportunity to acquire original pottery and sculptural pieces created by some of Columbia's ceramics artists. A raffle will take place with all proceeds supporting visual arts students at Edward E. Taylor Elementary.
