Brooklyn Mack fell in love with ballet when he was 12 years old while on a field trip with his classmates from Elgin, S.C. to see LifeChance performed by Columbia Classical Ballet. When Radenko Pavlovich, artistic director of Columbia Classical Ballet, agreed to teach him, Mack rode the bus everyday from Elgin to Pavlovich Dance School in Forest Acres. After practice, Mack walked to Providence Hospital to meet his mother after she finished her nursing shift. Mack did this six days a week.

Mack's determination paid off. He danced with the American Ballet Theatre in New York and received the second highest honor in the ballet world, the senior silver medal, on June 30, 2006, at the USA International Ballet Competition.

Mack has reached another milestone in his career. He received a Princess Grace Award Dance Fellowship, Orlando Ballet, October 25, 2007, at Sotheby's New York.
