Mrs.Mabel Williams Mrs.Mabel Williams Mrs. Mabel Williams was recognized October 17, 2007, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in honor of her 105th birthday.

Friends say Mrs. Williams is such a joy to know, very active, independent, and continues to create beautiful crochets pieces.

Mrs. Williams remembers the first Model- T- Ford in the Midlands. She walked to school to a one room school house which she attended through eighth grade. She married Lester Horace Shealy at age 17 and they were married for 53 years. After he died, she married James Williams.

Mrs. Williams attributed her longevity to her positive attitude, church involvement, and especially to her wonderful, loving family. She is the mother of four children, three of whom are deceased. She has eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two step grand children, and six great great grandchildren. She lives with her daughter, Martha Amick.
