By the time the next issue of The Columbia Star hits newsstands I will be 38 years old. My birthday is coming and the thought of inching that much closer to 40 gives me indigestion. Of course, just about everything gives me indigestion now so I guess that's no big deal. More ... There is a TV commercial starting to irritate me. It is for an insurance company. The ad features sappy music and people being nice to each other because they saw someone else being nice. Pulling people out of harm's way, helping with packages, and the really hard to believe one, letting fellow drivers merge into traffic. Sort of a chain reaction. More ... Graham is a handyman in Manchester, New Hampshire. The problem is, Graham is not very handy with tools. People hired him to fix leaky faucets or replace pulldown attic stairs, but the jobs are seldom done right. Graham can't earn enough money to live on. More ... |
