DAR celebrates 220th birthday of the U.S. Constitution

The USC chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met at the Lace House at the Governor's Mansion compound in Columbia for their first meeting of the 2007 2008 season September 12, 2007. The guest speaker was Henrietta Morton, a former S.C. State Regent. She talked about The Constitution of the United States in celebration of Constitution Week observed September 17- 23. As indicated in the Americans' Creed, it is our duty as Americans to love our country, support its constitution, obey its laws, respect its flag, and defend it against all enemies.
This is the 220th birthday of the Constitution of the United States of America.
