Richland One dedicates five schools

In November of 2002, Richland One voters went to the polls and resoundingly approved a historic $381 million bond issue. That money was earmarked to renovate 12 middle and high schools, build four new schools, and upgrade the district's three stadiums.
The dedications are for • St. Andrews Middle School, 1231 Bluefield Road, Columbia, 4 pm, Sunday, September 16 • W.J. Keenan High School, 361 Pisgah Church Road, Columbia, 4 pm Sunday, September 30 • Dreher High School, 3319 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, 4 pm. Sunday, October 14 • W.A. Perry Middle School, 2600 Barhamville Road, Columbia, 4 pm, Sunday, October 28 • Hand Middle School, 2600 Wheat Street, Columbia, 4 pm, Sunday, December 16
