The Heathwood Hall Highlanders improved to 2- 0 with a 14- 7 overtime victory over Christ Church in the sixth annual Episcopal Bowl held at Heathwood Hall August 31. Christ Church won last year and won the first game in 2002, but with this victory, the Highlanders take a 4- 2 lead in the overall series. Christ Church 7 Heathwood Hall (OT) 14

It wasn't easy though. Christ Church took the lead at the 9:20 mark of the second quarter with a two yard touchdown run by Graham Paylor. The Highlanders answered with an eight yard touchdown run by Will Kennemur.

Christ Church had a chance to win the game in regulation late in the fourth quarter after Clay Hall intercepted a Brett Whalen pass, but Chandler Catanzaro's field goal attempt bounced off the goal post.

In overtime, Kennemur scored his second touchdown with a five yard run to put the Highlanders up 14- 7. Mac Whalen intercepted a Christ Church pass to end the game and seal the victory.
