Miss Ross and Mr. MacLeod exchange vows August 4, 2007
Mrs. Andrew James McLeod Jennifer Anne Ross and Andrew James MacLeod, both of Columbia, South Carolina, were married August 4, 2007, at Centennial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dr. C. Ronald Beard performed the 6:30 pm ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Mims Ross of Columbia. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Killough Henry of Columbia and Mrs. John Henry Ross and the late Mr. Ross of Columbia. She graduated from A.C. Flora High School and the University of South Carolina with a BS in business administration. She also earned a juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and recently finished her term as a staff attorney for the South Carolina Supreme Court.
The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Lynn Welborn MacLeod of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Lee MacLeod of Matthews, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Mrs. J.T. Welborn Jr. and the late Mr. Welborn of Anderson, South Carolina, and the late Donald Eugene MacLeod and the late Mrs. Barbara Maben Velsor, both originally of Summit, New Jersey.
The bridegroom graduated from Myers Park High School in Charlotte and Furman University with a BA in history. He also earned a juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and recently finished his term as a law clerk for Hon. H. Bruce Williams at the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown in pearl regal satin and ivory alençon lace. The sleeveless gown with a "V" neckline was designed with a natural waistline that was accented with a sash. A low "V" back and semi- cathedral train adorned the back of the gown.
The matron of honor was Leigh Chandler Ford. The maid of honor was Jordan Crist Goodwin. The bridesmaids were the bridegroom's sisters, Laura Elizabeth MacLeod and Meredith Lee MacLeod, and Elizabeth Claire Kelly. The honorary bridesmaids were Danielle Horton Fassett, Jillian Matthews, Amy Lynn Neuschafer, and Krista Fienup Wingard.
The bridegroom's father served as best man. The groomsmen were the bride's brother, Stephen Henry Ross; Mills Kent Allison; Rodney Douglas Webb; and Richard Gerard Wheelahan III. The ushers were Reyburn Williams Lominack III, Michael Joseph O'Sullivan, and Ashley Boland Summer.
A reception was held at the Columbia Museum of Art.
After a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will reside temporarily in Washington, D.C., and will then return to Columbia.
