By Warner M. Montgomery Warner@TheColumbiaStar.com

Israel Tyler proudly displays the crystal tray given to her by the Richland One School Board. Israel Tyler proudly displays the crystal tray given to her by the Richland One School Board. Israel C. Tyler has made her stylish presense known in Richland One for 29 years, 10 years as special assistant to the school board. Tyler has recorded and transcribed every word spoken, and every document entered, at every school board meeting for the past decade. She has been the one who literally made history for Richland One.

The S.C. House of Representatives honored her citing her "sterling career as an educational leader…" The Richland One Board of School Commissioners honored her for "29 years of her professional life serving this district."

Not one to ride into the sunset, Tyler has established her own company, ICT Professional Services. She will offer executive searches, professional training, meeting planning, and minutes management. Beginning July 1, she can be reached at 779-7271.
