Captain John Chappell Chapter, Colonial Dames XVII Century holds spring meeting

The spring meeting of the Captain John Chappell Chapter, Colonial Dames XVII Century, was held Saturday, 19 May 2007, at the New Orleans Restaurant in West Columbia, SC. The newly elected officers officiated at this meeting. The Chapter will place much emphasis on Colonial Heritage month in October, and plans were made for that event.
The speaker for the day was Honorary State Regent, Mrs. Thomas A. Stallworth, who spoke on the founding of the national society in July 1915 and the history of the headquarters building in Washington D.C.
At present, there are 370 active chapters with a membershp of 11,760, There were two guests at the meeting. The next meeting of this chapter will be held in October.
