United Methodist Annual Conference, welcomed more than 100 United Methodist Bishops from around the world to a semi- annual meeting in Myrtle Beach, S.C. April 29- May 4. Key elements of the agenda focused on the denomination's global role. The denomination has a mission presence in 120 countries around the world. The meeting opened with a memorial service at Belin Memorial UMC in Murrells Inlet where The Rev. Dr. Mike Alexander is pastor. He last served at Washington Street United Methodist Church.
