AKA holds Pink Ice Gala

Gamma Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority hosted its 25th Pink Ice Gala January 26, 2007, at the Cantey Building on the S.C. State Fairgrounds. There were 2,000 people in attendance, and they raised $25,000 in scholarships. In the past 25 years, the chapter has raised $400,000 in scholarships. City Councilman E. W. Cromartie presented the chapter with a key to the City and a resolution declaring January 26, 2007, AKA Day.
