798-4030. Enjoy the fun and nostalgia of an old- fashioned, wholesome Sock- Hop. Hosted by Excelsior Academy, this dance will take place at the First Presbyterian Gym, on the corner of Bull and Washington streets, March 30 from 7 pm- 10:30 p.m.

DJ Kevin Kline will play oldies tunes to encourage such dances as the Shag, Jitterbug, and Charleston. There will also be games and fun contests on the dance floor.

Poodle skirts, flapper dresses, and rolled up jeans and T- shirts are encouraged. This is an event for all ages and for the whole family.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students, ages 6- 18. Children five and under are admitted free. Refreshments will be served as well.
