      Brenda Johnston, working with Hope's Promise Orphan Ministries (HPOM) in Namibia, Africa, is touring in the U.S. to raise awareness and funds for orphans in sub Saharan Africa. Johnston is Project Director for HPOM. There are approximately 34 million orphans in sub- Saharan Africa and 11 million are due to HIV/AIDS.

      Columbia native McCree O'Kelley is again center stage after dancing on New York and Tokyo stages. His newest role is director of performing arts for SCARF + SCREEN COLUMBIA. His first production will be an early September multi- cultural event that will tie a celebration of local talent to cinema.

      Set another place at the dinner table! Pets are about to receive a freshly delivered meal. Local recipients of Meals On Wheels who have pets can now receive pet food in addition to their meals. After discovering that countless senior recipients of Meals On Wheels were often feeding their food to their pets, something had to be done.
