Julian Hennig Jr.
1922- 2006
      Julian Hennig Jr., 84, died on Sunday, December 31, 2006, in the Lexington Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Hennig was born on March 12, 1922, in Columbia, the son of the late Julian H. Hennig and Helen Kohn Hennig of Columbia. He was a graduate of Columbia High School, Yale University, and Yale Law School. He also studied at Oxford University in England.

Petal Pushers Garden Club holds December meeting
      The December meeting of the Petal Pushers Garden Club was held at Spring Valley Country Club. Hostesses were Frances Morris, Pattie Britt, Ruth Rachal, and Louise Grooms. Sixteen members and two guests, Nancy Reamer and Fran Sims, were present. After a brief business session, the fun began with the annual gift exchange game.

The Columbia Cotillion Club presents twelve debutantes at its Winter Ball
      The Columbia Cotillion Club, a gentlemen's dance club founded in 1890, held its winter Ball Thursday evening, December 28, 2006, at the Columbia Marriott.
