Palette to Palate offers free tastes, sounds, and sights of Forest Acres
The Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties is pleased to announce Forest Acres' third Palette to Palate event on Tuesday, October 17 from 6-8 pm. The restaurant and artist crawl partners eight restaurants along Forest Drive with talented artists of all types from the surrounding area. The event is free to the public thanks to funds provided by the City of Forest Acres Hospitality Tax.
Andrew Witt, executive director of the Cultural Council says, "The idea behind Palette to Palate is to encourage everyone in and around the Forest Acres area to visit each participating restaurant and enjoy an evening of food, fun, and entertainment."
Eddie Wales, owner of Tombo Grille and the new Paulie's Pizzeria says, "It's a great chance for people to get out and discover some of what Forest Acres has to offer while enjoying an evening of entertainment." Wales noted that there are more than 40 restaurants in Forest Acres from casual to fine dining and everything in between. "People don't have to drive downtown to find great food and entertainment. We have it all right here."
More than 30,000 promotional flyers are being delivered to households throughout the surrounding areas. On the flyers, participating restaurants are listed along with their featured specials and accompanying artists. There is also a map showing the location of each Palette to Palate restaurant. The following restaurants will participate in Palette to Palate and feature specials, free samples, and artists: Cold Stone Creamery, Fran's Restaurant, Groucho's, Pasta Fresca, Paulie's Pizzeria, Sakura Tombo Grille, and The Original Pancake House.
