Photo contributed by Town Theatre The Town Theatre magically came to life June 30 as a cast of ornately dressed Indians, pirates, and Darling Family members settled in for dress rehearsal. Director Shannon Willis Scruggs reviewed her checklist of final suggestions, ironing out last minute details before the production of Peter Pan begins tonight.

As the actors headed backstage to take their spots, Scruggs talked further with Bethy Miller and Jackie Rowe, who will be alternating shows playing the lead role of Peter Pan. She reminded them to look up and out, not down, while flying across stage.

The wiring mechanism used to support Peter Pan in flight will carry Miller and Rowe across the stage multiple times during the show. The actors are trained to effortlessly sing, talk, and express emotion, while simultaneously flying through the air.

The cast of Peter Pan is bursting with talent, and they are filled with an enthusiasm and professionalism that truly brings the story to life. Combined with enchanting costumes, scenery and props, the show conjures memories of hearing the story of Peter Pan for the first time as a child.
