The City of Columbia, South Carolina (City) is requesting qualifications (RFQ) from architectural design consultants for the design of a parking deck, future development parcel, buffer area, landscaping and hardscaping (Facility). The parking deck will be located on the southern portion of the property at the northwest corner of Lady and Lincoln Streets in Columbia, South Carolina and have 600 to 700 parking spaces. The parking deck will serve the Congaree Vista area and is located in a Historic Preservation District.

Any questions regarding the RFQ are to be directed to Shawn C. Epps, Special Projects Administrator via email at scepps@columbiasc.net. Responses to the RFQ are due on or before 12:00 PM eastern standard on June 2, 2006. No questions regarding the RFQ will be accepted after 12:00 PM eastern standard time on May 29, 2006.

Respondents may not contact, directly or otherwise, any member of City Council or any member of the City of Columbia's Administrative Staff regarding this RFQ other than noted above until after the final selection is made. Contacting City Council members may disqualify the respondent from consideration. If such contact is made, the City reserves the right to reject the response to the RFQ.
