Columbia author William Price Fox read from his new book, Satchel Paige's America , at the Caroliniana Library on the USC campus. Based on his interviews with Paige, the book was selected by Library Journal as one of the ten best books of 2005. The reading was selected by the Thomas Cooper Society which supports the university libraries. Fox was introduced by his son, Colin Fox, who is a senior editor with Warner Books in New York. Bill Fox is the author of many books including Southern Fried , Dixiana Moon , and Ruby Red .
