AC Flora's Brad Thomas steals third base. Thomas went two for three with a single, double, one RBI, and one run. The AC Flora Falcons stayed alive in the Class 3A State Playoffs Monday, May 1, 2006, by shutting out the visiting Blue Ridge Tigers 3-0.
Catcher Will Lewis started things off for the Falcons by driving a double to left-center field. Sean Sullivan then laid down a perfect bunt. A Blue Ridge throwing error allowed Sullivan to take first safely and Lewis to score from second base. Sullivan then ad-vanced to second on a Blue Ridge balk.
Brad Thomas then ripped a single to right field scoring Sullivan. Thomas would score again in the third after he doubled to left-center, stole third base, and took home on a throwing error.
Jeff Osteen pitched a masterful game for the Falcons shutting the Tigers out, striking out four. He allowed only three hits and one walk.
