Members of Green-lawn Baptist Church have come up with a dynamite event for raising money. Church member Bob Knox and his 18 piece orchestra teamed up with other band members to have an Evening of Big Band Music and a spaghetti dinner. Tickets sold for $10.

The orchestra's singer, Toni Moore, mesmorized the audience when she sang What a Wonderful World . Reitired USC business professor Brian Honess im-pressed the audience with the piano solo The Things We Did Last Summer . Attorney Tommy Thomas accompanied him on bass.

Conductor Bob Knox led the band through many old time favorites. Knox, also a trombone player, had to refrain from playing because of a broken back.

This was the fourth year the orchestra and church members donated their special talents to the community. The fundraiser provided good food, homemade desserts, fellowship, and wonderful music.

Last year's event sent profits to victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This year, proceeds went to purchase new handbell cloths and tables for the church. Anyone interested in booking the orchestra should call Bob Knox at 799-4138.
