"Rhapsody in Bloom: Garden Gala" - the South Carolina Philharmonic's annual spring gala - is Thursday, May 11 from 7 pm to 10 pm. This year, guests are invited to experience the charm and beauty of Four O' Three North Lake Drive in Lexington, just 20 minutes from downtown Columbia. The turn-of-the-century house boasts two acres of gardens.

Catering, by Dupre, will feature a wide variety of offerings. The dinner menu is highlighted by tenderloin of beef, seafood parmesan mornay, quail medallions, chicken fajitas, margarita and martini bars, and a full offering of desserts.

The evening's indoor entertainment includes Philharmonic principal harpist Katie Taylor. In the gardens, guests may enjoy a cappella singing from the Main Street Harmonizers at 7:00, the Capital City Brass at 8:00, and Philharmonic principal percussionist Chris Lee performing on steel drums at 9:00.

Tickets cost $100 per person or $175 per couple and may be obtained by calling the Philharmonic at 803.254.PHIL (7445). Valet parking is available from Southern Valet. Garden party attire is encouraged.
