Join Carolina Wildlife Care (CWC) for its Annual Wildlife Baby Shower, Saturday, April 22, 2006, 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday, April 23 from 1 pm to 4 pm.
This is a rare opportunity to witness first-hand the inner workings of a wildlife rehabilitation center. Observe orphaned wildlife babies being cared for by CWC staff and volunteers. Hear the stories of how they got there and about preparing them for release. See and learn more about the wildlife living in your own backyard.
CWC, 5551 Bush River Road (before Saluda Shoals Park), is primarily a volunteer based, non-profit organization that rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife to reintroduce back into the wild. The center is generally closed to the public but will open its doors for this unique experience. Come and see for yourself what happens behind the doors of a hospital where all of its patients are wild!
The cost of admission is an appropriate wildlife baby gift from the CWC Wish List including Tide Free or All Free Laundry detergent, Bounce Free or All Free dryer sheets, Indoor Formula Purina Cat Chow, Bags of shelled or unshelled pecans, paper towels & Kleenex, dishwasher detergent, Pedialyte, Cheerios, canned fruits and vegetables, Havahart Traps, gift cards and cash donations.
The CWC Wish List can be viewed at www.carolinawildlife.org. For more information, contact Executive Director Joanna Weitzel, at (803) 772-3994 or E-mail carolinawildlifecare@sc.rr.com.
