Dogwood Garden Club beautifies Wheat Street

The Dogwood Garden Club with the help of the City of Columbia planted two beautiful dogwood trees in the 2800 block of Wheat Street for Arbor Day, December 2, 2005. This project was organized by the third vice president, Isabella Krause, and the Arbor Day chairwoman, Casey Shaw. A fine celebration of Arbor Day was had by all attending.

In conjunction with this busy day the Dogwood Garden Club received three first place awards, one second, three third place, and two honorable mentions in horticulture and one third place ribbon in table arrangements at the Garden Club Council of Greater Columbia's flower show on December third and fourth.
