AgilARTE holds exhibit and opening reception
Alejandro Garcia, a partner with Communicar, with one of the art pieces he exhibited at the AgilARTE exhibit and reception. On March 2, 2006, 5 pm-8 pm, Agil ARTE held an exhibit and reception on the second floor of the office of Tom Turnipseed, 1337 Assembly Street. Proceeds from the sale of the art will benefit Hispanic Outreach, a non-profit organization that for more than a decade has strived to preserve the dignity, promote the well-being, and improve the quality of the Latino population in SC.
The featured artist was Marcelo Novo, who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Novo's art has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the US and abroad. He lives and works as a full time artist in Columbia. Other artists who participated were Lee Breuer, Rodgers Boykin, Britta Cruz, Manuel Gaetn, Alejandro Garcia, Christian Guerrero, Mike Kraejewski, Dr. Linda Rochell, Ernest Lee, Betty Mandell, and Blanche Quinn.
