After four seasons of basketball, all of it is about to come to an end for nine senior basketball players at CA Johnson. Amber Hendrick, Katherine Myers, Onika Brown, Tiffany Hardaway, Edward Brown, Edward Aiken, Patrick Johnson, Michael Cunningham, and Edrick Cherry played the final home basketball game of their high school careers on Friday, February 3, against Pelion High School.

After the girls defeated the Pelion panthers 40 to 34, a ceremony was held for seniors who participated on the varsity cheerleading team and basketball teams. Each senior was given a rose to present to a parent or representative of the family. After the lovely tear–jerking ceremony, the CA Johnson boys defeated the Pelion panthers 78 to 30.

Senior night was made even more special with the news that both the CA Johnson girls’ and boys’ teams will be going to the playoffs this year. This will be the first playoff appearance in years for the CA Johnson Lady Hornets, who have overcome great adversity to finally reach a winning season.
