The authors’ roundtable discussion Saturday morning at the History Center on Parklane Road has grown by four authors. Dr. Alexander Moore of USC Press, along with Jack Jansen of Columbia, Ann Andrus of Summerville and Ruth Miller of Charleston will join a half–dozen other authors to discuss how resources at the SC Department of Archives and History have provided information for their books.

Moore, Jansen, Andrus, and Miller will be part of the roundtable that will also include Carla Damron, Bert Goolsby, John Hammond Moore, and Sam Morton. Authors will have copies of their books with them, for reference and for signing.

Following an informal discussion with each author detailing personal experience in the use of archival resources, participants may talk with authors individually and have books signed. Professional archivists will be on duty in the Search Room to answer questions about using the indexes and other materials available at the History Center.

The roundtable event is free and is being hosted by the SC Archives and History Foundation. The History Center, which houses the SC Department of Archives and History, is located at 8301 Parklane. The event will begin at 10 am and will conclude by noon. The Search Room will remain open until 4:45 pm.
