The service for Susan McCulloch Johnson was held Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at 2 pm at Sherwood Forest Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with buriel at Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Sherwood Forest ARP Church. The family received friends at their home Monday, February 6. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, assisted the family.

Mrs. Johnson, wife of the late Rufus Ardee “Tino” Johnson III, died Saturday, February 4, 2006. Born August 11, 1943, in Columbia, she was the daughter of Joseph M. “Mags” and Mildred Martin McCulloch. She was employed with Forest Lake Travel and was a member of Sherwood Forest ARP Church.

A loving mother, she is survived by sons and daughter–in–law, Rufus Ardee Johnson IV of Columbia and Douglas Andrew and Karen Kozlik Johnson of Columbia; brother and sister–in–law, Joseph Matthew Jr. and Amy Wright McCulloch of Columbia; and nephew, Joseph Matthew McCulloch III; and many beloved Bradley and Shuford cousins. Special appreciation was given to her friend, Anne Baskin, for her friendship and unceasing support during Mrs. Johnson’s life, especially through her recent illness.

Susan grew up in the Forest Hills neighborhood and was a member of the Dreher High School Class of 1961. She will be greatly missed by the friends she made as a child and kept for a lifetime.
