A sign on the entrance to Hollywood Park reads: Let all who enter know that this garden was brought to life through the tireless efforts of Orene and Tate Horton. We are grateful to them and all who have helped cultivate this park for public enjoyment.

This charming little park welcomes you both coming and going. A brick archway at the front gate is surrounded by canna lilies and beautiful landscaping while the back exit takes you through a brick columned picnic area covered with vines. The landscaping throughout this little park is very well maintained.

Three corners of the park are shaded by large trees. The corner farthest from the playground and the path behind the picnic shelter both offer shaded benches to relax and read a book or newspaper. A large open grassy area is perfect for throwing a frisbee or just running around.

Brightly decorated playground equipment provides fun for children.
Brightly decorated playground equipment provides fun for children. The play equipment includes two swings, two baby swings, bouncy horses (that actually work, unlike most parks), and a small climbing/slide structure. Other than the bouncy horses needing a new coat of paint, everything is in great shape. There is a water fountain but no bathrooms.

This park is highly recommended.

To get there from downtown, take Assembly St. to Rosewood Dr. Take a left onto South Gregg and you will find the park on your right about three blocks up. There is very little parking around this park.
