John Zeigler John Zeigler of Zeigler Home Builders was named the Builder Member of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia at its annual Holiday Ball.

Four Midlands businesses received the touch award at the Better Business Bureau’s annual awards ceremony on December 6, 2005. El Chico’s Restaurant, Bihari D. Intwala , owner; Southland Equipment Service, Inc., Diane Poston ; Smith Printing Company, Jerry Smith ; and The Specialminds Foundation, Mark Shelley received awards for their very high degree of ethics and integrity in dealing with customers and employees. The bureau also awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Anna Beck Henderson of Blythewood High School along with three other students.
