Mrs. Jewell Hill, Columbia College class of 1960 and president of the Ariail Chapter of the Columbia College Alumnae Club, introduces Laurens Ryan Andrews Jr. to the members. Laurens Ryan Andrews Jr. presented the program for the Ariail Chapter of Columbia College Alumnae Club at its regular meeting Thursday morning, November 10, in Alumnae Hall on the Columbia College Campus.

Mrs. Sara Cook Andrews (’51), first vice president, introduced her friend and husband of 52 years. Mr. Andrews presented a slide presentation of eclectic church name signs across SC. He has collected photos of unusual church names and signs as a hobby for a number of years. The program proved to be interesting and entertaining and included signs that presented names of many historical and small churches throughout the state.

Hostesses for the occasion were Norma Richardson Johnson (’58), Betty Jo Marsh Carson (’60), and Jewell Powell Hill (’60). Members of the chapter along with several guests enjoyed the occasion.

The Ariail Chapter of the Columbia College Alumnae Association will hold its regular meeting at 10 am Thursday, February 9, 2006, in Alumnae Hall on the Columbia College campus.
