Caroline Fisher Dana In its one hundred fifteenth season, The Columbia Cotillion Club’s Winter Ball was held Wednesday evening, December 28, 2005, at the Marriott Hotel. An 8 pm reception and receiving line were followed by the debutante figure directed by Mrs. Thomas Bryant Edmunds, Mrs. John Cantey Heath Jr., and Mrs. William Powers McElveen Jr. Following the debutante figure there was dinner and dancing to the music of Dick Goodwin. Presented at the Ball were six debutante daughters, two granddaughters, two great granddaughters, and fifteen guest debutantes of the Columbia gentlemen's club, organized in 1890.
