Children’s Chance and USC Athletic Department sponsored the 5th Annual Evening with the Gamecocks Event for South Carolina children with cancer and their families. This event held Saturday, December 17, at Williams Brice Stadium in the Zone gave children with cancer a unique opportunity to have dinner with the football players and coaches. The children were especially excited that Children’s Chance was able to offer T–shirts with USC’s name to be autographed by the players and Coach Spurrier.

The children, families, players and coaches enjoyed a delicious dinner provided by the USC Athletic Department. The players were able to sit with the families and discuss the struggles of having cancer and how they have learned to be brave. Many of the players commented that they will take their strength with them when they go to the bowl game.

Coach Steve Spurrier committed to continue this rewarding tradition each year.
