W. Shell Suber Jr., Esq.

W. Shell Suber Jr., Esq., is a local attorney who has called Forest Acres home for over 35 years. He and his wife raised two children here and have four grandchildren.

Suber received his BA and JD degrees from USC and has practiced law for years in partnership with Augustus Graydon and Bratton Davis. He has been on Forest Acres City Council for 32 years and his current term expires in 2009. He has missed less than three meetings in all his time on council and considers himself fortunate to have been able to serve so well for so long.

He originally became interested in serving on council because local affairs were important to him. He has spent his 32 years on council working to preserve the small town and family atmosphere of Forest Acres. Suber considers his greatest achievement on council to be the preservation of the residential nature of Forest Acres and control of commercial development within bounds that are good for residents. His current goal is to maintain a delicate balance of residential comfort and safety with desirable commercial growth and prosperity.

Shell Suber enjoys farming, particularly tree farming, and gardening. He is also a proponent of family and fine food. He especially enjoyed the ice cream samples at the recent Sweet Seasons Gala held at Forest Acres.
