With a backdrop of lightning and threatening storms, the Heathwood Hall football team ran through Ben Lippen to the tune of 49–12. Totally outmanned, the 16 brave Falcons of Ben Lippen fought to the very end, scoring the final 12 points.

Before the first quarter was over, Heathwood’s Brandon Gantt had thrown a 27–yard TD to Hampton Graham, run another for 75 yards, and handed off to Thomas Kibler for another. Gantt went on to throw two more TD passes – a 31–yarder to Graham and a seven–yarder to Montgomery Morris. Sadler Walker intercepted a pass and ran it in from the 26. John Randolph scored the final Highlander TD from the one.
