Wine Festival at Lake Carolina, a grand event
John Player, ice sculpture artist, talking with Lake Carolina resident Bruce Smith.
Golden foliage and crisp autumn air spun in delight to the brass band tunes at the 2005 SC Bank and Trust Fall Wine Festival at Lake Carolina.
Fall leaves gently swooped to the ground as connoisseurs enjoyed the flavorful merlots, pinot noirs, chardonnays, and other wines presented by Ben Arnold Beverage Company.
Chefs from Rebecca’s Catering, Sidewalk Café and Catering, and Tivoli’s Catering prepared gourmet foods to accompany the international wines.
Visiting from Florida, (from left) Phil and Ann Weydener enjoy the wine festival with friends Nancy Johnson and Dick Johnson of Columbia.
Brilliant artwork captured the event with an ice sculpture by Ice Sensations and a whimsical painting entitled “Three Wine Bottles” by Alicia Leeke.
Proceeds from the wine tasting event were donated to Children’s Charities of the Midlands.
Ashley Hagenburger, Tim Hagenburger, Craig Stephens, and Jean Stephens taste red and white wines.
