Past president of Symphony League becomes chair of Southeastern Orchestra Volunteer Organization

Photos by Billy Rawl Elizabeth Wheeler, immediate past president of the Symphony League, was recently named a director and roundtable chair of the newly-formed Southeastern Orchestra Volunteer Association. Six regional orchestra volunteer leaders put together their dream for a networking and support organization to affect the positive change of ideas and resources, to promote volunteer enrichment through activities, and to be a leading regional voice for orchestra volunteers in the southeast. Before departing for a Fulbright year in Germany, Wheeler participated earlier this month in the first Roundtable in Charlotte. The group looked at Charlotte Guild’s award–winning Membership Presentation.
