On April 6, 2003, Capt. Delphin A. Gantt of the SC Air National Guard flew a combat mission over the hostile skies of Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The flight was in an F–16CJ from the 157th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron (Swamp Fox Fighter Squadron), Tail #902, flown especially for Columbia lawyer J. Lewis Cromer.

Last week, the flag was presented to Cromer by Capt. Gantt and his father, MSgt Delphin Gantt Sr. of McEntire SCANG Base.

The Gantts said they wanted to honor Cromer for his patriotism and his dedicated work on behalf of his clients throughout SC.
