On October 10, 68 golfers tried to make a hole–in–one to win a boat from Carolina Boatworks at Round Top Elementary's PTO annual golf tournament at Columbia Country Club. No one took the boat, but everyone in attendance enjoyed the day despite some sub–par weather. Golfers were treated to a box lunch donated by Groucho’s, a silent auction, dinner, and many raffles and prizes.

The event raised over $7,400 for the school, and was made possible through the hard work and dedication of PTO volunteers and outstanding community sponsors. The PTO is grateful to American Quality Assessors, Olde Towne Hall Restaurant, New Kirk Presbyterian Church, Palmetto Homebound Dentistry, Guard–A–Kid, WG’s Wings of Blythewood, First Citizens Bank of Blythewood; Blythewood Pharmacy & Home Medical Equipment; Kellie Ballentine – Allstate; Steven K. Barnett, MD; Digital Office Solutions, Inc.; Groucho’s Deli - Blythewood & Lake Carolina; JanPack; Food Lion of Blythewood; Beef O’Brady’s; Robert W. Buchanan, DMD; Bimini Jim's; Regal Prints; Fairfield Electric; Kem Smith, CPA; Kent Washington, DDS; Steve Shelton, MD; Tanya Reid, MD - Allergy & Immunology, Pediatrics; Carolina Boatworks; Manitou Pontoon Boats; and Valvoline Express Care for serving as tee sponsors.
