Hammond defeats Cardinal Newman

Hammond took an early lead on October 14 in the game against Cardinal Newman. David Palevich ran 25 yards for CN’s first touchdown of the game in the third quarter. David suffered an ankle injury in the 4th quarter.
CN came back with another touchdown late in the game. Hammond was victorious with a final score of 35–13.
This was CN’s invitational game to show the school off to future students from Martin de Pores, St. Peter’s, St. John Newman, and St. Joseph’s. Students from these four schools cheered on Cardinal Newman even as they lost.
