Shepherd’s Center of Columbia begins Fall semester

The Shepherd’s Center of Columbia will begin its fall semester on Wednesday, September 14, at the Leisure Ministries Building of the Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, 3401 Trenholm Road.

This is a national educational program for anyone 55 years or over. The Shepherd’s Center offers over 20 subjects each Wednesday. Tuition is $21 for each semester. Luncheon is served each weeek by rervation for $6.

Among the subjects available are Investing for Seniors, bridge, memories of WWII, poetry, classic movies, gardening, legal issues, Ancient Greek History, modern history, intermediate and advanced acrylic and watercolor painting, conversational Spanish, and adventure travel and trip planning for members both locally and internationally.

On Thursday there is a class for beginning painters only from 9 am–noon. Hand bells and a “Music is Fun “class are also offered

There are four Shepherd’s Centers in the greater Columbia area. Call 779-4449 for more information. There are no books to buy or homework.
