Miss White and Mr. Creech wed at Mitchell House and Gardens

Marian Baxley White and Kenneth Cecil Creech Jr. were married at Mitchell House and Gardens in Lexington, South Carolina, August 13, 2005. Rev. Teresa Daughety, aunt of the bridegroom, performed the double–ring ceremony. Music was provided by soloist Cecilia White, sister of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Odell White. Her maternal grandparents are Rev. David Edwin Hudson and the late Mattie Baxley Hudson of Rockingham, North Carolina. Her paternal grandparents are Marion Bullard White of Rockingham, North Carolina and the late Cecil Odell White. The bride graduated from Hammond School and attended the University of South Carolina. She is the co–owner and operator of K & M Plants and Produce in Summerville, South Carolina.
The bridegroom is the son Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cecil Creech Sr. His maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Vance Daughety. His paternal grandparents are Alice J. Creech of Cayce and the late Jack M. Creech. The bridegroom is also co–owner and operator of K & M Plants and Produce in Summerville, South Carolina.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white strapless Lady Roi gown with a heavily beaded bodice adorned with seed pearls. A full skirt with a cut work motif was accented with alençon lace which extended into a cathedral train and continued the cut work motif of alençon lace and pearls. A shoulder–length veil edged with alençon lace featured a pearl headpiece.
Nadine Cloaninger was an honorary grandmother and was seated with the grandmothers. Cecilia Dailey White, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Naomi Reese of Rockingham, North Carolina and cousin of the bride; Pamela Yandle of Gaston, South Carolina, and niece of the bridegroom; and Jenny Pugliesi of Orlando, Florida, and niece of the bridegroom.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were S. Hudson White, brother of the bride, and Thomas Nelson of Summerville, South Carolina. The ring bearer was Cecil Yandle of Gaston, South Carolina, and nephew of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at the Mitchell House and Gardens in Lexington. After a honeymoon to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the couple will reside in Goose Creek, South Carolina.
