The Gourmet Shop in Five Points held a dinner tasting last Monday night. The selection of wines from Tuscany and Lombardy was by Neil Empson, the leading shipper of quality Italian wines, as the brochure says. Dennis Webb of Neil Empson narrated the wines. The chef was Suzi Cooper, who runs Harden Street’s El Burrito, and her husband John delivered his home–grown vegetables. Entertainment before dinner was provided by opera singers Serena Hill and Brittnee Siemon, both well worth a return engagement.
