Monday morning, August 15, Congressman Joe Wilson (R–SC) kicked off his annual Real Results Bus Tour through all 10 counties of SC’s Second Congressional District. The tour took a week. The first day’s stops included Lizard’s Thicket on Elmwood Avenue for breakfast, USC’s College of Engineering, Reach Out and Read at Children and Family Health Care, Fort Jackson’s Soldiers Support Institute, FN Manufacturing, The Village at Sandhill (Talbot’s), Blythewood High School, Park Ridge Surgery Center, Love Chevrolet Hummer Dealership, and a District Quarterly Meeting in the Irmo Town Hall Courthouse that night. The Columbia Star rode the first day.
