Presented by The Remodelors Council of Greater Columbia, the 10th Annual Home Improvement Show is Columbia’s only event dedicated to providing consumers with tips and products related to remodeling!

Friday, August 19 is Seniors Day! Those who are 65 and older will receive $2 off the $7 admission price. Seniors can enjoy free, informative senior lifestyle seminars all day on Friday—

• The Lieutenant Governor’s Council on Aging Office will explain the many resources for seniors in SC.

• A panel of Certified Aging in Place Specialists will talk about remodeling for seniors—a hot topic in the world of remodeling.

• Waddell & Reed Inc. will explain how to live at home on a fixed income after retirement.

• Remodeling Services Unlimited will present Remodeling for Retirement – “It’s my home and I’m not leaving!”

• Custom Home Construction Management Systems will present their very popular “How to Build Your Dream Home” seminar.

• Van Wingerden International Inc. will present a three–part gardening seminar including fall combinations, care of and winterizing your houseplants, and how to grow a winter herb garden in your kitchen.

Participants could win a $15,000 bathroom renovation— from lighting and cabinetry to flooring and painting! A drawing will take place after the show, and then the fun begins. If you win, Remodeling Services Unlimited will help you through the process and serve as your contractor. Each of the participating Remodelors Council members will provide you with an allowance for products or services.

Columbia Shelving & Mirror is donating $250 to spend with them on mirrors and accessories. Clyde Nettles Roofing & Painting will give you $500 worth of paint and painters. Superior Plumbing will give you $750 in labor alone!

You’ll have $500 from Weaver Systems to remove and replace those old light fixtures with new ones from The Lite House. Even the trash will be hauled away by Pascon container service. Sound exciting? Then get your entry form and maybe you will get a new bathroom!
