Allison Munn, Columbia native and co–star of What I Like About You on the WB, has the world before her. She has had recurring guest appearances on That 70’s Show , and guest starring roles on Law and Order: SVU, JAG , and Boston Public . She has had film roles including White Oleander and the upcoming Cameron Crowe film, Elizabethtown.

Even with all this success, Munn is still a Columbia girl at heart. Munn, who now lives in LA, tries to come home two to three times a year. “The first thing I do when I go home,” Munn said, “is go to Andy’s Deli. There’s nothing like it in LA. And believe me, I’ve looked.”

Like any good South Carolinian, Munn also loves boiled peanuts. “I dream about the peanuts from Joe’s Produce on Garners Ferry Road,” Munn said wistfully.

From the age of six, Munn knew she wanted to be an actress. She grew up taking dance and voice lessons and performing at Workshop Theatre. In high school, she took drama classes with teacher Donna McKenna–Crook.

Crook, as well as the late Bette Herring of Workshop Theatre and the instructors at Calvert Brodie Dance, were all big influences on Munn. Munn said they all encouraged her and challenged her to follow her dreams.

After studying theatre at the College of Charleston, Munn decided to take a leap and head to New York. Like so many before her, Munn began by waiting tables. But soon enough, she started landing roles in commercials and eventually a role in the off–Broadway production of The Fantasticks.

After more than 500 performances in The Fantasticks , Munn made another leap to LA. Soon after arrival in LA, Munn snagged the role of Fez’s girlfriend Caroline on That 70’s Show . Next, it was the role of Tina Havens on What I Like About You . The rest is history in the making.

Munn appears on What I Like About You on the WB this fall on Fridays at 8 pm. Munn will also have a recurring guest appearance on That 70’s Show this season.
