Max needs a home

2005-08-05 / Society

I’m Max and I need a great home. I lived my first two years horribly neglected. When my owner finally dumped me at the animal shelter, I was 35 pounds underweight, covered in ticks and heartworm positive.

I am now on the road to good health and will never suffer again. A donor will pay for my heartworm treatment, but I must have a quiet home for a few months because of this condition. In spite of being treated so badly, I love all people, even kids! I just wish there were laps big enough for me to sit on!

I love to cuddle and would be the greatest companion dog you’ve ever had. I need to be with people, so I must have a home where I won’t be left alone all day. I need someone to spend time with me, someone who won’t put me in a crate.

I’ve been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I have been promised a very special home where I will be loved and valued for the magnificent Saint I am. A home without cats would be best. I’d like to be king of the castle! Please call 732-2507 if you can open your heart and home to this big, wonderful boy.
