Stacy Lancaster knows about selling.  She’s been singing and dancing for customers in her family owned business since she was five years old. Not only does Stacy sell the clothing in Britton’s, one of Columbia’s oldest and finest men’s and women’s apparel shops, but she also sells “the look.”

“Anyone can have the look,” Lancaster said during the Star’s fashion shoot. “The look is unique because it emerges when your body meets a ‘friend’.” Lancaster explained that a friend might be a long skirt flowing with femininity that ignites when it meets another friend, a T–shirt with sequins that flatters your neckline and bosom.  Accessorize with the friendly touches of earrings, belts, shoes, and bracelets, and the look evolves to be uniquely individual.

“Don’t be afraid to try volume in accessories,” Lancaster advises. “The look is inside the layers.”

Lancaster is a fashion stylist that can spot the right friend for any body type who walks into the store. Her acute eye for color, contrast, and proportion can be seen easily through the photographer’s lens. Lancaster’s never-ending sense of style has become her signature for successful career in fashion merchandising.
